Information
Southborough Kindergroup is a non-profit membership-based community group for infants, toddlers, preschool children, and their families/caregivers. Membership is open to all families with children age 5 and younger living in Southborough, MA and surrounding towns.
We offer a variety of membership options to suit the needs of every family. Our various memberships provide playgroups, field trips, parents’ events and nights out, mom events, dad events, as well as weekend activities and community events for the whole family to enjoy. We aim to provide opportunities for connection, friendship, and community for all who join.
Due to the growing needs and changes of our Kindergroup families, we are pleased to introduce additional membership opportunities for the 2024-25 year. This coming year we will be offering our General membership (formerly known as the Social membership) which encompasses all members that join. Additionally, members are able to add-on a Playgroup membership which includes participation in a playgroup on two Fridays each month and/or a Teamworks membership which includes participation in a sports class one Friday a month.
The General membership dues have increased slightly in response to the evolving nature of our membership. Increased dues allow us to provide some events at no cost to members (such as Moms' Nights Out and ) and/or to subsidize the cost of some events to make them more affordable (such as Apple Picking). Kindergroup is a membership-sponsored organization, so all playgroups, field trips, and social events are paid for by member dues and ticket sales, as applicable. Kindergroup solicits corporate sponsorships which support our larger annual community events such as Santa Day, the Turkey Trot, and the Easter Egg Hunt.
Reduced membership dues are available for families experiencing a hardship. Please reach out to the Treasurer at kindergroup.treasurer@gmail.com to coordinate. All inquiries for reduced dues will be strictly confidential.

Kindergroup General Membership
Dues: $75/year PER FAMILY
This is the base level membership that is required for every family that is a part of Kindergroup. It includes an invitation to all parent/family events (including monthly field trips), access to our private Facebook group, inclusion on our group distribution email list, etc. Dues cover insurance, help offset some event expenses, and support fun extras throughout the year such as pizza nights at the playground, ice cream truck visits, etc.

Friday Playgroup Add-On Membership
Dues: $35/year PER FAMILY
This level includes the base membership plus allows your child and a parent/guardian to attend playgroup at Fay twice a month on Fridays. The dues cover the cost of rental space at Fay, toy replacement, and enrichment materials and activities for playgroup (arts & crafts, special snacks, etc).

Friday Teamworks Add-On Membership
Dues: $85 PER CHILD
This level includes base membership plus a monthly class at Teamworks for just Kindergroup families! The Teamworks add-on will be paid for per child. There will be 8 classes for the year running on the following dates (10/4, 11/1, 12/6, 1/3, 2/7, 3/7, 4/4, 5/2). There is one class at 10:30-11:15 for 2 & 3 year olds with parent participation. A second class runs 11:15-12:00 for 4 & 5 year olds with parents observing from bleachers.There will be a maximum of 18 kids for each age level. Each month will focus on a different sport / different aspect of a sport. Younger siblings are welcome to use the FunZone (large playroom next to field) under adult supervision while classes are going on. Registrants must be 2 or 4 years old, respectively, by 10/4 (date of the first class). All Teamworks membership sales are final.
